Well, Christmas Eve has come and gone.
Auto response from JFreak961: everyone loves Christmas... but what happened to the excitement I always had in years past at this time of night? I mean I'm not that old... leave one or call me. Merry Christmas
Exactly. This Christmas Eve has been somewhat of a disappointment. Seems like my family keeps getting smaller, no grandparents left, just me, mom and dad, staying in Raleigh for the immediate holiday, then going to visit family. It just doesn't seem the same. Tonight we ate dinner and that's it. No excitement, no festivities, no Christmas traditions, just lame. I remember when I was a kid laying in my bed at my grandma's house on Christmas eve and not being able to sleep because I was so excited. One year in particular, there were these spy gear things (they were grey and black) there was a vest and all these cool gadgets; camera, binoculars, a thing to see over fences and around walls, a microphone, and other stuff. Man, I wanted the vest and some gadgets sooo bad, it was insane. I remember laying there in bed thinking about the spy gear and all the badass spying I would do if I got it. Crazy. I didn't even go sit on santa's lap this year, ok maybe I AM a little old for that. But it just doesn't really seem like Christmas, just the shopping part. Maybe I'm just nostalgic, but I miss it. Seems like everything changes so fast these days. Maybe that's just part of getting older. Well whatever, we gotta remember what Christmas is all about, and we should enjoy it with the people who are important to us, in whatever fashion that may be. Be generous and good-willed. Well Christmas is still a good time, and I hope that everyone gets their "spy gear" tomorrow, whatever that might be.
On a different note: Linkin Park, Hoobstank, and P.O.D. are coming to the Greensboro Coliseum on March 2nd. I'll be there for a rockin' good time, and you should be too.
Also, Jeremiah Freed has a new album out that I just found out about (it apparently came out in August) called Slow Burn, I gotta get it, you should check out their self-titled album. AND, when did amazon.com purchase cdnow.com? GEEZ, every freakin thing is a conglomerate now, Disney/abc or time-warner/aol (are they all the same company?) will prolly buy amazon and starbucks before long. I can't wait. Support your local coffee house, music store, and barber shop. (and give the local bum(s) a bonus every now and again)
Well That's all for now kids.
Merry Christmas, and to all, A GOOD NIGHT.
