Josh Howard pretty much won the game for the Mavs tonight, with his rebound and throw it off a bull to give the Mavs one last shot, which Michael Finley DRAINED. 16 points and 10 boards for J-Ho!
Hey state fans, T.A. McLendon is going pro.
When I first heard, I thought, "what an idiot" the guy hasnt really had a good year since his freshman year, in which he was nasty, won ACC rookie of the year and was first team all-ACC. But, the more I thought about it, I thought, maybe it was a good idea. I mean first of all, TA's had plenty of injuries the last two years, hwat if he had a really bad injury next year, that would be no NFL for TA. Next, he's got a couple kids, and could probablly use the money. Finally, with all the injuries, fumbles, and really talented runningbacks in Chuck Amato's stable, TA may have been in danger of losing the starting job next year. All things considered, he will probablly be picked somewhere around the 3rd round, maybe even lower, but someone is going to take a chance on him becuase of the clear talent he showed his freshman year, even considering his injuries and problems over the last two. If TA had come out and produced a great senior year, he could have been a first round pibk, but if he wound up hurt or not starting, he could have dropped even farther. Its kinda like he had to stopt he bleeding by going pro. But hey, its one less thing for wolfpack fans to worry about, and I think you have several guys willing to step up and carry the rock. (Washington, Blackman, and others). Just remember, Chris Barclay was 1st Team All-ACC this year.
