26 February 2004
I sit by the phone waiting for your call,
I stay home, even as the snow falls,
Yet you don't write, I think you don't care at all.
Please, please just leave me a voicemail, a message, an email.
Just tell me you know, show me you care,
Its so cold outside, I wouldn't know what to wear.
I promise next time I won't curse you under my breath,
I won't stalk you, or wish for your death.
I need to hear your voice, or just see your words.
Please, please, please, its really just your choice.
Its out of my hands, come one and revert to the other plan.
Just pick up the phone, make it ok,
Ease all my pain, its really not just the rain.
Pick up the phone, light up my day.
Just tell me its ok to go out and play.
Look at the roads, look at the quad,
Either way, just say the words,
Kevin, you know what I need...
Pick up the phone and call it a SNOW DAY!

Jam Of The Day: After Eight- Forever and a Day (hear it on Showtime's Music, or from mp3.com)
Best Girl Scout Cookies: Peanut Butter Patties!
So today I went to the mall, everything was fine until I was walking through J.C. Penny (yeah you know how in the Winston mall they added a new wing so now Penny's is right in the middle of the mall and you have to walk through it to get to stuff on the other side) and I a sign for American Idol. I thought it was a little odd that a department store would be advertising for a crappy reality show... then I saw that it was an advertisement for American Idol cologne! OH NO. Its not enough that they have the show to begin with, right alongside survivor, and the simple life and all that other stupid reality shows that the networks pay peanuts for and make millions off b/c amazingly people will watch anything, but now they are marketing American Idol cologne? What is the world coming to? Now my question is what is the cologne supposed to do? Let's say that I buy it, then I guess it is supposed to make me smell like an American Idol... So am I going to smell like Reuben who while being a great guy and a good singer looks like a huge melting iceberg when he is onstage because of all the sweat running down his face? Do you think that smells good... maybe... or not. OR, maybe I'll smell like Mr. Aiken, hmm now here is a dilemma, do you think he wears cologne, or maybe women's perfume? Either way, I think that most males who purchase cologne are trying to use its fragrance to attract women, and I'm not exactly sure that Mr. Aiken (while also being a supernice guy, with a cool first name) is in the market for attracting women.
Anyway, enough about American Idol and their fragrances.
So lets look at MY schedule for the rest of the week, I know, I never do any work so I shouldn't complain... Yeah yeah yeah, oh well.
So, in addition to the regularly high amounts of reading and homework that are mandatory here I also have a lab report due on Friday, a chemistry paper, and a politics mid-term. OH, and there is a basketball game Wednesday night, and I have a pledge meeting on Thursday night. Well, I'm not complaining, because this should be fun, I look at challenges as fun, as opportunities to find out about myself and to have fun... fun procrastinating. YIPPIE!
Oh yeah, and anyone in Raleigh Friday night, holla at my best friend Rafel Lane about his party IM: riffraf126
Oh, and Sunday night, I'll be in the RBC center watching UNC lose again (just like they did tonight) so look for me on TV (fox sports)

Pocket Aces win again! Thanks to the hot hand of Matt Lopatka and the tough play of Anders Larson who came out of retirement for the game. Half of the regulars were missing in action for part or all of the game as Barr Blanton had a qualifying engagement, Steve Hale decided to go punting, and naming Savic had a prior engagement as well. That said, the team came together in the first half to jump out to a big lead and then held on for the win in the closing minutes.
So the Deacs and the Aces get big wins to continue their winning streaks.
This from ESPN: "The resurgence of Justin Gray, the standout sophomore guard, was thanks in large measure to his being late. Gray was tardy for a team function and was made to run as a reminder to be on time. He played well, and now has the coaches make him run extra every day to stay sharp."
Maybe we should have the PA guys run a little extra too...
On another note, school work is really overrated. REALLY OVERRATED.
There might be one spot left for the killer spring break road trip, let me know if you are interested.

Big, big win for the Deacs. Keep them coming.
So, the final episode (EVER) of Sex And The City... FINALLY!
Yeah, I know it is sooooo sad (tear), but really, isn't it time that those women grew up, or at least moved on? I mean HBO could just keep milking the show until they were all in their 50s or 60s, but hey the Oxygen network already has the Sunday Night Sex Show, and that is more than enough of senior citizens talking about sex than any of us really need. So, the show is over, and I don't know how it ended, but what I do know is that there is a new Alias in 2 weeks, and I might not be able to watch it.
And also, I realize that I do miss Piccolo, and the late night runs to Wal-Mart, which can be re-created with other, non-Piccoloians.
Word of the day: DOLDRUMS- a period of stagnation or slump. a period of despression or unhappy listlessness. 2. an ocean region near the equator, marked by calms.
