Word Of The Day:
founder 1. To sink or cause to sink below the water. 2. To fail utterly; collapse. 3. To go lame, as a horse.
usage: founder means "to fail utterly, collapse. Flounder means "to proceed in confusion." If Clay is foundering in a course, he had better drop it. If he is floundering, he may yet pull through.

Interesting article:
  • NCAA Grad Rates

  • I wonder where we stack up on this list.

And apparently they are going to be showing the game tomorrow night at 10pm on the Mag Quad. HOTNESS, go deacs.

Also, I am selling amazing discount cards. These cards are $10 and are valid until 12/31/04. They have amazing deals, here are are a few of the places that are included on the card: Arbys, Dunkin Donuts, Quiznos, Baskin Robbins, Simplyummy, Blue Ridge Ice Creams, Qdoba, Village Soda Shop, Kyoto Express, Northside Lanes, Shores Fine Fabricare, La Carreta.
WOW great places, great deals. I accept cash, check, or charge. Sorry, no deacon dollars at this time. The proceeds will benefit the WFU chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi. Get At Me.

Interesting: the profile of the "smart kid" from my high school class:
"I've had a revelation of sorts. That being, I am nowhere near as bright as I, or indeed anyone else, have credited myself as for the last 10 years or so. Thusly, I require something of an overhaul of how I spend my time, which unfortunately will keep me from doing many things, such as being on the net and available for chat."

coulda told him that 4 years ago.

    WOW. Kentucky sucks.
    there goes my bracket... again.

    21 March 2004

NC State, Miss State, Cincinnati, you all SUCK!
Let's foul twice on 3 pointers, and let Jordan Collins give them an AND 1 on the game winner. Great job guys. GREAT JOB. I know, if i am my team's best player and they rely on me to score and to bring the ball up court let me foul on a 3 point jump shot, for my 5th foul! GREAT, I JUST FOULED OUT ON A 3! Julius Hodge; THANK YOU! And great last posession. I mean come on. That's just sick. Intentional foul, great game guys. The worst part is that the careers of Marcus Melvin and Scooter Sherrill are over, and thats sad.
Oh, and my bracket... yeah its a little messy.

At least the Deacs are in the sweet sixteen.

    Dear Stanford and Gonzaga,
I am very very angry with you right now. You have dissapointed me a great deal and I am finding it hard to trust you anymore. I gave you my trust and you ruined it, you lost my trust. I would very much like to hear you say 'I'm sorry.' But I don't quite think that will cure our ills.
    Anger,
    Clay

Also, Huffman house is odd. Lately, whenever I walk by I notice that there is a large group of kids standing around in the lounge, 2 of them playing a dance party video game where they dance on some pad in front of the tv while the rest of them watch/cheer. ODD. WEIRD. Its kinda like the old NES with the powerpad when you would play the olympics game. Kinda, except that the NES and powerpad were COOL.

Solid win for the Deacs today, but once again a little too close. I mean its nice to be able to win the close games, but some games shouldn't be so close. Bring on St. Joe's!!

    GREAT GAME CP3!!
