PS- Happy Birthday Mary Walsh.
Quote Of The Day: "High School girls just keep getting sluttier." -Brian P. Walsh after seeing some blonde girl with incredibly short jean shorts (they may have been fake cut offs) and some smallish shirt at the movies. Five minutes later the same girl comes to us and asks if she can sit with us. (of course, the only open seat is next to TK, wouldn't ever happen any other way would it?) Turns out she goes to UNCW. Needless to say, Tristan did not get (or try to get) her number.
Showtime's Review of TROY: (please excuse any misquoted information or details or whatever)
Let me start by asking when the hell crossroads 20 started having some over eager usher kid come in and yell at the audience before the movie about everyone moving towards the center and turning off all cell phones, etc etc etc? That really annoyed me and made me hate crossroads 20 even more. Mission Valley is much cooler. In fact, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that I don't really like cary. There, I said it. Now back to the review.
By the time the movie was over, I had been sitting in that chair for well over 3 hours, and my legs were a little cramped so blame any misquoted info on that. Apparently, according to my friends who all remembered more of Homer's Classics than I, the movie was not exactly accurate. I decided that I just don't like Orlando Bloom. Sorry Orlando, you were OK in Pirates, but your characters are whussies and I just don't like you. Brad did a pretty good job, he kicked some major ass, which brings me to the action/fight scenes. They were pretty intense, definitely enjoyable, and usually fairly suspenseful. Did I mention the movie was long (like this post). There were definitely some over dramatic/corny/predictable parts in the movie. For example when Paris's (Bloom) father, the king gives Paris the sword of Troy, "As long as a Trojan carries this sword there is hope for Troy" or something like that, too dramatic. Or when Achilles gets shot by Paris... IN HIS ACHILLES TENDON! I thought for a second that that one shot was going to kill him, thank God they had him get up and get shot a few more times. But the fact that that puss Paris killed him just sucked. Hector was definitely more of a man than Paris. There were other predictable/annoying/over dramatic parts, but I can't remember all of them right now. The fighting was good. Seeing all the ships on the water and all the men coming towards Troy was pretty cool too. The coolest part may have been at the beginning when Achilles (Pitt) killed the giant, that was badass. That was AFTER the little kid went to wake him up and found him asleep with two hot, naked women. Oh yeah, according to Kevin, the thing with the coins on the eyes (think Boondock Saints) was inaccurate. Whatever. The movie was pretty good, not great, and a little over-hyped. In conclusion, Helen was hot, but I don't think she was worth all that.
Disclaimer- I'm not a movie or history expert, if you don't agree, too bad. Make your own website.

What do you think would happen to you or me if we were pulled over for speeding, 90 mph in a 65 mph zone... AND we had been drinking? Well I bet it wouldn't be what happened to N.C. State tailback T.A. McLendon who was arrested on those charges last fall and was granted a prayer for judgment this week. McLendon will not have the charges show up on his record, and will not lose his drivers license. In exchange for this prayer for judgment he had to do 24 hours of community service (ha) and attend an alcohol class. Another great example of a big time college athlete getting special treatment, and shouldn't he be a role model, not only do kids across the state look up to him, but he has 2 kids of his own.
Maybe I could get T.A.'s lawyer to represent me in my speeding case, tell them I play basketball for Duke or something.

Props Of The Day: Rachel AND Kevin. Happy 20th Rach, Kev have fun in Europe, you are gonna be missing TONS of fun stuff here this summer... FALSE. Just don't forget to come back.
Also, I love the way my dad leaves little notes for me on the table so that when i wake up I have something to read... like "Clay, Please: (1) mow yard, (2) sweep and mop kitchen. Or tuesday when it said "Clay, Please: blow off driveway.
Not that I really mind doing this stuff, its pretty easy, but its just annoying the way that he leaves the notes. Maybe ill leave him one: "Dad, Please: fill my car up with gas.

A year ago today I woke up to a phone call from Kevin, wondering why in the world Kevin was awake before 10am and calling me. He was calling to tell me the sad news, while we were sleeping we had lost a friend. Maybe Shorty wasn't my best friend, but he was a best friend to plenty of people. He was a kid that you just couldn't help but like, a young man that has been, and will be missed by many. My heart goes out to his family as they remember him today, and everyday.
The last two summers have started with tragedy for many of us, losing friends and loved ones. They are still with us in our memories, and for that we must be thankful. Be grateful for what you have, and for those with whom you share your time, they are who make this life special.
Oliver and Shorty: missed, but not forgotten.

Sad News for NASCAR fans in NC:
"The Rock" will lose its final race and will no longer be a part of the Nextel Cup
sad that the growth and popularity of NASCAR have forced it to cancel races in the Carolinas at tracks like Rockingham and Darlington that have been with NASCAR since the beginning.
More Here
Also, its weird going back to high school when y ou graduated 2 years ago.
A guy that was a senior there when i was a freshman (Scott Maxwell) is now a teacher at Athens... Go figure!

Apparently Wake Forest University not only thinks that I am fat, but they think I need to get rid of my wrinkles quickly and easily. They also think that I need to buy a new car, get a new mortgage on my house, find love on the internet, and buy extended warranties for everything I own. Its nice to see that my school is so concerned about these various aspects of my life that they would take the time to sell my email address to companies who want to clog my inbox with bullshit email. Thanks wake forest, you rock!
Ozm0se's Jam Of The Day: Lloyd Banks- On fire
Quote of the day (I may be a little off on this one): "Death is Creasy's art, he's about to paint his masterpiece." -Man On Fire, actually a better movie than I expected it to be.
Friday: Rachel's birthday cookout at 5. ALSO, seeing Troy w/ Kevin since he leaves for Greece on Saturday, get at one of us if you want in on that.

AlanzoB: Army Pfc. Lynndie England, seen worldwide in photographs that show her smiling and pointing at naked Iraqi prisoners, said she was ordered to pose for the photos, and felt "kind of weird" in doing so.
AlanzoB: I'm going to have to call bullshit on that
Brian P. Walsh, calling bullshit. Don't test him.
AlanzoB: girls generally suck at athletics
and making more quality quotes.

Ok, so I know it has been awhile since I gave you (my 2 readers) a real update.
Well stay tuned for reflections on the first two years of Wake Forest coming later this week, as well as predictions, options, and hopes about this summer. Yes, summer is here already, why aren't the pools open?? And you know what would be really cool since im such a geek? If I could find a pool that had Wi-Fi, and a nice snack bar.
My dad called me at 1pm today (woke me up, I sleep too much) and told me that he was at the airport and they wouldnt let him in... so I check online and find out that they closed the RDU airport because they found a suspicious, unattended package in a women's restroom this morning. Well, no flights for Dad, but I hope having all the passengers stay in the parking deck is a good idea.
Summer is upon us, Clay has no job, no summer school, no plans, and no money. Could shape up to be an interesting 3 months. Wait, I lied, i do have plans. I'm going to see Kenny Chesney in Charlotte, AND apparently I am going to Carrowinds sometime th is summer, so there are my amazing plans, 2 days of fun-filled activities, don't be jealous of all my summer plans.
