Batman Begins: definately the best Batman movie since the first one, and probably the best one yet. Much more of a dramatic, story telling film than any of the last 3 incarnations. Great story, you really get to know Bruce Wayne a lot more, but still plenty of action. And, Katie Holmes is really beautiful, but I can't look at her quite the same knowing that she is about to marry Tom Cruise. wow.

So, Shav Randolph decided to STAY in the NBA draft. Probably one of the worst draft decisions ever. He would have had a better chance of being drafter if he went right out of high school. His best two games at Duke were the first 2 of his career, and his 3 seasons have been pretty much below expectations. He probably should have gone to NCSU anyway. But staying in the draft??? I mean unless he had some amazing workouts, which I doubt since I havn't heard anything about him (granted, I've been in Europe), but he should have stayed at Duke for his senior year, he MIGHT have had a chance to improve his stock, and since he's probably not making it to the NBA anyway (at least not through the draft) he would at least have a degree from one of the best schools in the nation. Maybe his dad had a lot to do w/ the decision. Word is his dad took over the family business and bankrupted it... so maybe he thinks Shav can save the finances... who knows. That is just rumor/speculation no evidence to back that up but hey, whatever. I just wish that he had fullfilled his potential a little more, got to feel bad for the kid, so much hype, so much talent, just not realized, and now he seems to be making a HUGE mistake. Going to Duke may have been a mistake, but thats pretty much a sunk cost at this point, why make it worse by staying in the draft?
Shav, Shav, Shav...
Bottom line, I hope he gets drafted, and I hope he makes it, but I just don't think its really gonna happen.

Oh, and its great to be back in the States for the summer. Nice to go to the mall and see people that look like me, and lots of pretty girls in skirts. Welcome home.
