Quote Of The Day:
""I was crying after the game. I felt I let my team down," he said. "I was disappointed about having to come out."
that's passion, thats love. thanks Eric. But you didn't let us down, you were a man amongst boys.

Victory.
the PEN IZ mightier wins their first game in convincing fashion, 52-23. Several players scored in double figures, and everyone contributed en route to opening the season by more than doubling the opposition.
The game got off to a slow start, with "Teat's" taking an early 1-0 lead. The game was tied at 5, but after that, Pen Iz took control and never gave it back. "Teat's" was outmatched, with Jim having to carry the load almost entirely by himself. Playing with only 5 players in uniform, "Teat's" could not keep up with Pen Iz who were constantly bringing players in off the bench, getting the most out of their 8 man rotation.
Your favorite point-forward Showtime had 17 points, 3 assists, 3 rebounds, 1 block and 2 steals. The last 3 points came on a failed alley-oop attempt for Lopatka. The 'pass' was a little off the mark and banked off the glass and through the net for 3 points. Lopatka was his usually solid self, pouring in 9 points from behind the arc and collecting numerous rebounds to go with his 20-so points. The southpaw Connor Breen played well in his Pen Iz mightier debut, going to the hole hard and often. Deez "Worm" Larson almost got a technical after attempting to kick the camera man following a putback, but was 1-3 from the field and 1-2 from the line for 3 poitns, and an estimated 16 boards (estimated by Larson himself). Savic had 4 superb points. Ryan Myers was 2 for 2 from the foul line and finished with six points. The rest of the team's statistics are still being tabulated and are not yet avaliable. (The team is looking for a solid statistician so that such numbers can be readily avaliable following the games.) My personal favorite play of the game may have been in the second half when McRae made a super steal from a Teat's ballhandler and took off on the break, feeding a teamate for the layup.
On a side note, the team will debut new jerseys next monday, and Larson's #91 should be avaliable after passing a league review.
Next monday, 5pm, Reynolds gym 4th floor.

First PenIz Mightier bball game tomorrow (monday), 5pm, Reynolds gym.
The last week of my life has pretty much been devoted to snowboarding. And that's a good thing.
Monday, MLK day, Me, Ben and Charlie rode at Sugar. Thankfully, the MLK Jr. weekend had been cold enough for the guys at sugar to lay down some good snow. And boy was it cold that day. The second coldest ive ever been in. It was 6 degrees when we got there, and 13 when we left. Thursday night, we rolled up to Beech again, for men's night. It was crazy crowded, we had to wait 40 minutes just to get on the lift. The snow was OK, but we only made 4 runs. Then yesterday, Saturday, me and Nemanja rolled up to App and rode there for an hour, the conditions were good, and it wasn't too cold. The park was nice as well. Then, for the night session, we went to Hawksnest for the NightHawk. It was nice when we got there, as it had just started to snow. But the longer we were there, the harder the snow fell, the colder it got, and the windier, oh, and the slopes got a lot icier. In fact, it got so icy on the takeoff of one jump that i busted HARD, hitting my right ass-cheek and my head on the icy landing, not fun. They did have a pretty cool park, even with pic-nic tables, but the conditions made riding it well hard.
Back to app on Thursday.
Props Of The Day- Neal Moody for leading Team Snigs to a victory (via the mercy rule) in the first day of UNC intramural basketball.
