Happy (belated) Thanksgiving to everyone. In the past I've made a list of things that I'm thankful for, well this year I'm thankful for many of the same things, the people in my life, the opportunities I have, the fortunate situation that I find myself in, and many, many more things, so instead of boring you with a list of them, I will give you another list about a few of the things I learned during my weekend in Alabama.

Things I learned in Alabama:
1) Even Birmingham has indoor plumbing.
2) "Skeet Shooting" is not what Little Jon does after he leaves the club with a shorty.
3) You don't "aim" a shotgun, you "point" it
4) You have to stir toffee for about 20 minutes over heat for it to be good.
5) Toffee (like fudge) is affected by the climate outdoors when you make it.
6) Open bars are fun
7) My dad is not a preacher and my name is not Scott.
8) The day(s) after a holiday are not a good time to order sushi, as it will probably be several days old.
9) Birmingham is hilly.
10) Women driving pick-up trucks are cool.
11) Local burger joints are always good in The South.
12) A dog really IS a man's best friend.
13) A crowded smokey bar is not always the BEST place for a serious or in-depth conversation.
14) Blue is still my favorite color.
15) Good company is good company, in all 50 states.
