Why is it that after all the uproar over these Muhammad cartoons published in Denmark and then France and Germany that no major US news organization is showing the cartoons in question? Aren't we supposed to be the champions of free press? Also, can't we assume that there have been plenty of cartoons, articles, books, ane other types of published materials making fun of Christians and Jesus and other symbols of Christianity and being critical of the beliefs associated with this majority religion in the US? What about all the jokes about Catholic Preists and little boys? I don't see too many Christians in America or elsewhere burning protest fires or trying to break windows of foreign embassies. If your faith isnt strong enough to withstand a joke or a political criticism, then what is it? Shouldnt we embrace a freedom of press? Just b/c a newspaper in a country prints a cartoon of Muhammad with a bomb turban on his head does not mean that that whole country is agains Islam or out to persecute Muslims. It happens to be true that lots fo the recent terror attacks in various countries have involved extreme Muslims who claim to be taking action for their religion, what's wrong with people expressing their feelings about this by making cartoons poking fun at it?
Get over it.

  • see some of the cartoons
