Link Of The Day: Bad Career Advice
24 hours from now I'll be in Charlotte, the Queen City, 48 hours from now: At Lowes Motor Speedway for the Nextel Allstar Challenge. NICE, been looking forward to this one for a hot minute. I got all my nice red(neck) gear ready to support Junior, anyone got a Bud for me? The king baby!
Speaking of the King, LeBron and the cavs will try (again) to finish off the nets tomorrow night at 7pm est. IF they are successful they will move on to face the Pistons in the eastern conference finals. The Pistons are in the conference finals for the fifth straight year. My ideal NBA Finals matchup would have probably have been the Pistons and the Mavs, so that everyone could see J-Ho dunk all over 'Sheed and throw down for the Deacons. But now my hopes are pinned on the Cavs, so lets go Bron Bron.
Jam Of The Day: Whitesnake- Here I go Again (for all you Old School fans out there)
I'm out til next week, Carolina on my mind.

Well, yesterday was the one year anniversary of my graduation from THE WakeForestUniversity. Miss it.
Is this, could this be, will this be, is it possibly... the return post? The Return of It's Showtime?
We'll have to see, its been rumored before but has failed to materialize.
I just finished watching LeBron James and the Cavs lose game five to the NJ Nets IN Cleveland. I was disappointed. The cavs came into the game up 3-1 and needed to win to close out the series and go to the eastern conference finals to face the winner of Chicago-Detroit. The cavs looked flat all night, they just didn't play with the same sense of urgency that they needed to. Its said that closing out a team is the hardest thing to do in the NBA, and if you play like the cavs did, it really is.
LeBron has had a pretty good post-season this year, but nothing like last year. I still think he lacks the killer instinct. He only had 20 points tonight and mostly disappeared during the latter portion of the 3rd quarter and all of the 4th. Those of you who know me know that I'm a pretty big LeBron fan, and those who know me well know that before I was a fan I was a serious skeptic. LeBron has faded from MVP consideration this year and has fallen behind D-Wade in terms of all around player and behind Carmelo in terms of strict scoring recently, and that disappoints me. I'm ready to see "King" James take his crown. He needs to be the guy at the end of games who has the ball in his hands, who drives to the basket, makes shots, hits the open jumper, and finds his teammates. He needs to have the killer instinct. He needs to learn to TAKE OVER a game like MJ did.
Sometimes we overlook the fact that LeBron is only 22. Thats right, he's still 22 years old. But, for someone with as much talent as him and someone who commands the kind of respect and attention that he does, he should be taking over games in the 4th quarter when his team is at home and has a chance to advance to the conference playoffs. Kobe does this, MJ did this, Flash even does it. Truly great players have a knack for knowing when and how to take over a game, once LeBron does this, he can claim his "kingdom".
I'll be anxiously waiting.
Props Of The Day: J.D. Reid for sending out the mass text message yesterday straight from Cali announcing that it was 1 year after WFU c/o 2006 graduation. Everyone, find your diploma, go take a good long look at it. Holler at your boy JD out in Cali for the AmeriCorps.
And get at a playa, WFU Football '07? Got the season ticket order form in the mail this week.
