Book of the day- "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" by Robert T. Kiyosaki
A very interesting book about finances, that is not too technical, very enjoyable. It was a Christmas gift from my dad a couple of years ago.
Last weekend I had the pleasure of going to the NASCAR Nextel AllStar challenge at Lowes Motor Speedway in Charlotte (Concord) NC.
The race was a great time. It was my second race and I went with three first time NASCAR spectators who all really enjoyed it.
One thing that we were all amazed by was the fact that each person could bring in a cooler no larger that 14x14x14 which can hold about 30 beers. When we came in with our full cooler they barely looked inside and no one ever checked our ids.Now we had a great time, had a DD and everything was smooth. You might think these conditions would lead to lots of drinking and driving, but the traffic jam afterwards which had many people stuck for 2 to 3 hours lessened that impact, and we saw no wvidence of accidents. Although jr had a bad car, it was a great weekend- I can't wait for Talladega.
As for the nba eastern conference finals- oh man. The media is all over LeBron. He can do no right. Yes, he has not had awe inspiring games so far, but his team has been in both at the end. Game one he passed out of the lane to a teamate for an open 3 which was missed. Cavs lost and the media killed him for it. Game two same score he drove and put up a shot that may have been forced, he may have been fouled and the cavs lost again. Maybe he should have shot in game 1 and passed in game 2, but at leats the cavs were in it. Those two shots go in and its a whole different story and no one questions King James or coach Brown. Let's see what happens in Cleveland now.
Coming this weekend- Showtime's iPhone preview.
