What do you think would happen to you or me if we were pulled over for speeding, 90 mph in a 65 mph zone... AND we had been drinking? Well I bet it wouldn't be what happened to N.C. State tailback T.A. McLendon who was arrested on those charges last fall and was granted a prayer for judgment this week. McLendon will not have the charges show up on his record, and will not lose his drivers license. In exchange for this prayer for judgment he had to do 24 hours of community service (ha) and attend an alcohol class. Another great example of a big time college athlete getting special treatment, and shouldn't he be a role model, not only do kids across the state look up to him, but he has 2 kids of his own.
Maybe I could get T.A.'s lawyer to represent me in my speeding case, tell them I play basketball for Duke or something.
